Effects of Complex Terrain upon Convective Mixed Layer

A mixed-layer model was developed to study effects of non-homogeneous underlying surface layer upon structure of mixed layer. Numerical experiments show that, having maintained its simplicity and utility, developed mixed layer model can render effects of complex terrain upon depth and velocity of mixed layer very well.
