  • The 20th Workshop on Antarctic Meteorology and Climate (WAMC 2025) was held on 16-18 July 2025, hosted by the Korea Polar Research Institute (KOPRI) as a hybrid in-person/online event under the umbrella of the 30th International Symposium on Polar Sciences (ISPS 2025) in Incheon, Korea. The three-day program convened 79 participants from at least 15 countries across four continents, who delivered a total of 49 presentations (43 oral talks and 6 posters) across eight sessions—Automatic Weather Stations, Data and Observations, Forecasting and Modeling, a Poster Session, and four Research sessions. Of the 49 presentations, 24 were delivered in person at KOPRI and 25 online, reflecting the workshop’s continued hybrid format. Outcomes highlighted the need for a sustained emphasis on collecting observations, the value of observations for monitoring, verification, and forecasting, and the increase in machine-learning-based forecasting. This workshop illustrates the commitment the community has toward cooperative and collaborative efforts with a common goal of improving our meteorological understanding of Antarctica.
