回顾叶笃正先生领导的旋转流体实验及对实验模拟的展望

Rotating Annulus Experiments led by Prof. Ye Duzheng in IAP/CAS: A Review and Perspective on Laboratory Experiments

摘要: 回顾叶笃正先生领导的中国科学院大气物理研究所模拟组在青藏高原热力和动力影响大气环流以及台风模拟等多方面独具特色的创造性工作。讨论从动力相似出发，用模拟实验来理解大气和海洋环流的数学物理基础。对国内外模拟实验在科学研究和教学中的进展作了一个简要的回顾，并展望了实验模拟未来的发展。随着实验测量技术的发展，定量化的实验模拟和高精度数值模拟方法和数据驱动的人工智能方法的有机结合，将有效地提升对地球和行星流体运动和环流中关键过程和相关动力学的理解。

Abstract: A review on the laboratory experiments on the role of Qinghai-Xizang Plateau in atmospheric general circulation and on the dynamics of typhoon led by Professor Ye Duzheng since the early 1970s in the IAP/CAS is provided. A brief review on the recent progress, together with a perspective on its future development, in laboratory experiments as a useful tool in both research and teaching of geophysical and planetary fluid dynamics is also made in this review.
