夏季青藏高原和热带印度洋热力异常对塔里木盆地夏季降水的影响

Influences of Summer Thermal Anomalies over the Tibetan Plateau and the Tropical Indian Ocean on Summer Rainfall in the Tarim Basin

  • 摘要: 基于1979~2017年欧洲中期天气预报中心(ECMWF)全球大气数值预报再分析资料ERA-Interim提供的地表潜热及大气环流再分析资料和英国Hadley气候预测和研究中心提供的全球逐月海表温度格点资料以及新疆气象信息中心提供的塔里木盆地26个站逐月降水资料,研究了夏季青藏高原和热带印度洋热力异常对塔里木盆地夏季降水的影响。结果表明:高原北部潜热偏强(弱)和热带印度洋海温偏暖(冷)时,200 hPa纬向风表现为“北负(正)南正(负)”的特征,中亚和贝加尔湖上空分别为异常气旋(反气旋)和异常反气旋(气旋),在二者共同作用下,塔里木盆地上空盛行偏南(北)风,印度半岛上空为异常反气旋(气旋),有利(不利)于将低纬度水汽向北输送,配合中亚上空的异常气旋(反气旋),有利(不利)于水汽进入新疆地区,对应塔里木盆地夏季降水偏多(少)。同时发现塔里木盆地夏季降水与中亚对流层中高层的温度异常(MUTTI)表现为显著的负相关关系,同时MUTTI与高原潜热和印度洋海温的负相关关系显著,夏季高原潜热偏强(弱)时,高原季风偏强(弱),印度洋海温偏暖(冷),南亚季风偏弱(强),在二者共同作用下中亚对流层关键区中高层温度偏低(高),其通过影响200 hPa纬向风、500 hPa环流和整层水汽输送进一步影响塔里木盆地夏季降水。

     

    Abstract: Based on the reanalysis data of the global atmospheric numerical forecast (ECMWF) from 1979 to 2017, the latent heat data and reanalysis data of atmospheric circulation provided by the ERA-interim, the global monthly sea surface temperature grid data provided by the Hadley Center, and the monthly precipitation data of 26 stations in the Tarim Basin provided by the Xinjiang Meteorological Information Center, the influence of the Tibetan Plateau and tropical Indian Ocean thermal anomalies on the summer precipitation in the Tarim Basin is studied. Results show that when the latent heat in the north of the plateau is strong (weak), and the sea surface temperature in the tropical Indian Ocean is warm (cold), the 200-hPa zonal wind shows the characteristics of "north negative (positive) south positive (negative)". In addition, there are abnormal cyclones (anticyclones) and abnormal anticyclones (cyclones) over Central Asia and Baikal Lake, respectively. Under the joint action of the two, the south (north) wind prevails over the Tarim Basin and over the Indian peninsula. The anticyclone (anticyclone) is advantageous (disadvantageous) to transport the water vapor in a low latitude toward the north, and it is advantageous (disadvantageous) to enter the Xinjiang area in combination with the abnormal cyclone (anticyclone) over Central Asia, corresponding to more (less) summer precipitation in the Tarim Basin. At the same time, the summer precipitation in the Tarim Basin is found to be closely related to the temperature anomaly in the middle and upper troposphere of Central Asia, while a significant negative correlation between the middle-upper troposphere temperature index (MUTTI) and the latent heat of the plateau and the sea temperature of the Indian Ocean is observed. In summer, when the latent heat of the plateau is strong, the monsoon of the plateau is strong. Meanwhile, if the sea temperature of the Indian Ocean is strong, the monsoon of South Asia is weak, resulting in the low temperature of the middle and upper troposphere of Central Asia.. The summer precipitation in the Tarim Basin is further influenced by the zonal wind of 200 hPa, the circulation of 500 hPa, and the water vapor transportation in the whole layer.
